Angesichts einer stetig wachsenden Bevölkerung schätzen Studien, dass wir den genetischen Gewinn in unseren Programmen zur Verbesserung der Ernte weltweit verdoppeln müssen, um den Bedarf an Nahrungsmitteln zu decken.

Wenn es um Gesundheit geht, ist Gentechnik selbstverständlich: Aktuell sind in Deutschland 280 Arzneimittel mit 232 Wirkstoffen auf dem Markt, die gentechnisch hergestellt sind.
